Santa Fe is most famous for its scenic beauty, historic sites, and American Indian culture, but there are also many other diversions to enjoy. Conde Nast Traveler consistently names Santa Fe as one of its top 25 cities in the world to visit.
For the more active, golf, horseback riding, hot-air ballooning, fly-fishing, hiking, climbing, swimming, pilates, yoga, and much more. There’s also plenty of sightseeing and culture to take in: the Santa Fe Opera, the Plaza de Santa Fe, Canyon Road, Sena Plaza, San Miguel Chapel, St. Francis Cathedral, Loretto Chapel, or the Palace of the Governors.
One of the world’s major art centers, Santa Fe is a place where artists are equally at home working with the traditions of their ancestors and experimenting with contemporary techniques. But it’s not just the visual artists who find their muse in this capital city. Musicians, dancers, actors, writers, and chefs tap into endless ways to express their creativity, contributing to a rich blend of artistic activity.
Shopping in Santa Fe takes you on an odyssey, into charming historic buildings filled with treasures handmade and hard to find anywhere else. There are also Casinos and a large array of nightlife offerings to be had.
Experience the splendor of the American Southwest at La Fonda on the Plaza, the only Santa Fe New Mexico hotel situated on the historic Santa Fe Plaza and noted by Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice as the #2 Hotel in The Southwest and West.
